Default prop valve question

so, this weekend i plan to swap the teg's rear discs into my rex. trailing arms and all. ive got my ss brake lines and my ebrake cables came in today. time to play.

ive got an hf, so i know i cant swap the front discs unless i want to swap the motor too because of the axles. given that the teg will be keeping its engine for a bit, im stuck with a prop valve issue.

with this swap, what should be done with the prop valves from both vehicles? i plan to put the rear discs from the rex back onto the integra so it can roll away from this project.

my plan was to just go ahead and swap the mc, prop, and brake booster between both cars. that will make the integra stop slower and the rex stop like a champ, i hope.

my question is this: is this logical? ha. more importantly, will a mixed brake setup and not quite the right prop valve hurt my stock front brakes?

note: i have no immediate access to a 91 crx si prop valve.

no, it wont hurt. there are a lot of people that do the rear disc swap without swapping the prop valve.

efsublime - so just swap the mc and the booster? or just the mc? haha. and, my question was if it would hurt the stock front brakes if i _did_ swap the prop valve. sorry to be particular, but im trying to learn as much as i can and do this right.

crx jimmy - ive got a whole integra im stealing from... so im aiming not to buy too many parts from other cars. =P

i'm not sure if this will answer your question or not, but for an upgrade you can use the 15/16 mc, thats what i'm using. also the stock booster is fine. why not swap all parts over at the same time?

you mean the engine and all? haha.

well, the real answer is money. gotta work slowly. (especially since i just bought the integra)

on the other side, though, i wanna take it slow to make sure i actually learn everything i can. i dont have _all_ the freetime id like, but ive got enough to read a'plenty and wrench a little.

so, i'll do one upgrade at a time and fix the little "normal" problems that come along as they do.

and yeah, thanks for your answer; it was what i was looking for. =D

you can swap out the front rotors and calipers of the HF to normal sized brakes if you want. you dont have to change knuckles, hubs or axles.

i would still get a 4040 valve if youre putting the rear discs in.

i realy have no idea what you should do to the integra if you really do intend to downgrade its brakes.... youre in uncharted territory i believe.

i wouldnt suggest you change the brakes on the integra at all. just find some rear trailing arms for the crx and leave the integra alone.
