you pay for what you get save up some cash and get something nice its better because if u try to upgrade later on you are stuck with a cheap e bay exhaust that makes it ricy sounding
i know all honda's (rice burners) have that sounds with an exhaust but i am going to try and eliminate that as much as possible but with a touch of ricy sound haha.
my girlfriends dad owns a exhaust shop so!!!! im set haha.
thanks, Casey

$100- $150 is about what i got mine on for. I will say that exhausts are a touchy subject. everyone has an opinion. The problem i had when i was doing my research for my own exhaust is that 99% of the people out there have no [freak]ing idea what they are talking about. people tell you to get this or that part and usually its all based on looks. this looks nicer, or that looks like it would flow better. i had to look up WHY a header is better than a manifold. Everyone knew it was because it flowed better but they couldnt tell me why it flowed better. I quickly came to the opinion that 99% of the people didnt understand "flow" and where using it as a holy mantra instead of actual knowledge. people are constantly confused as to whether tubing size increases or decreases backpressure. it is a frustrating subject. It is also a subject i claim to know nothing about. dont listen to me i have no idea what im talking about, go research it yourself.... having said that i will know give you my opinion.
i would say 2" line, use your muffler, and go buy a cheap "race" cat. then drag it all to your local mom and pop muffler shop and pay them $50-100 to plumb it up under your ride. if you can get a $50 used header go for it, if not use what you have.
not that anyone cares but what i did was to go quiet. i wanted my exhaust to be less noisy than the fart can someone put under it. the header i stole ended in a 2" opening, i went 18" from that with 2" tubing. i ran that to a 2" thrush cherry bomb. then i ran 2" line to the back where i put a magnaflow muffler. magnaflow makes different styles of mufflers, i chose the style that does not have any baffles, it is essentially an oval glasspack with the line inside doing a slight bend. a 2" wide gerbil could crawl thru my exhaust all the way to the header.
I think it sounds great and ill grab a video of it next month at the track if anyone wants to hear it. best of all around town its freakin quiet.

Just search around the Marketplace. Craigslist. or other Honda websites. You'll find a good deal eventually.... I bought an RSR Axleback for my Hatch for only 50bucks.
Personally i hate Cat-Back exhausts.... they stick out like a sore thumb for the police and usually sound a bit rice, some sound great though...
