hello I have a 91 ef hatch with a b16a swap with just an exhaust and intake and a pr3 ecu chipped for vtec at 5200 rpms and sometimes when im hitting vtec in 3rd gear it'll start breaking up and 4th sometimes too..therees msd wires on it and brand new gapped ngk plugs..ne know a solution?

 

change ur distributer

 

change the dizzy and see if that helps... if not then is your check light on? and what you mean breaks up like crosses over to vtec then back to non v?

 

Yeah while in vtec it'll start jump and goto non vtec its annoying the dizzys brand new..it only does it shifting into 3rd gear from 2nd and sometimes shifting to 4th

 

owner before had a shitty intake on it and im replacing it this weekend would that helP?

 

maybe your fuel injectors could possibly have some build up on them. my 91 si hatch would cut out as well and i got some fuel injector/system cleaner and after it went throught its 100% now!
