check this out guys, i said i was gonna do it and i did it and boy does this bish stop!!! i was on the southern state doing like 50-60 and some minivan swerved in front of me and i hit the brakes.. and them bishes locked up with ma 18s on!! which i have on for no more than 3 days!! anyways here's the pics!!

opinions and questions welcome!!
opinions and questions welcome!!
they'd have to be 11.1...
but arent those brakes the ****? :>
i have them on my accord as well, dont have crossdrilled and or slotted though! just brembo blanks! hehe..good to go!
i can prove it to now cause I got pics, but, donno how to scan them onto here!
anyone help me please??

did you use any shims for the pads? just taking a poll of those who did and didnt. im still thinking of doing every step and making the 3mm or two 1.5mm shims when i do my swap.

Nice chameleon looking real nice.. Love the rims too.. Can this conversion be done on Civics as well. I seems to be very worthwhile and cost effective. Plus you can help me install and find the parts... hehe
as far as a civics go you'd want to be looking at getting GSR or ITR parts. the caliper is the same as the Accod 5th Gen V6/Wagon. Thats all I know. Go ask people in the other forum.
Wow that fits inside a stock 15 inch wheel? no ****. I had pretty much thrown out the idea because I need the 15s in winter but if I can keep stock wheels on it, well....Hmmmmmm
where did you get the calipers and how much?

Yeah I believe so. And for Civics upgrading to the GSR spindle does increase braking potention however I am referring to the dual piston calipers not the actual size of the rotor.. Has anyone done it on a Civic before, or will I just have to fork out the money for the Willwood kit from fastbrakes..
These calipers can go on an ITR so I guess it should work for you.
I'm trying to figure out if these calipers are similar to the Spoon/Nissin calipers that cost $1,800.
You should see the NSX calipers this dude put on his ITR in the ITR forum.

AFAIK, legend = 40/38mm pistons, NSX = 40/36mm pistons.
Fastbrakes just responded to an email saying that he is offering a 12" rotor w/ 4-pot calipers soon. Thou that will require 16" wheels. I'm trying to see if theres anyway to get just rotor-over-hub rotors in 11.1" size or so that work on the accord.

to answer everyone's questions since you guys had soooo many.
parts list:
(2) Brembo C/S rotors Accord V6 11.2"
(2) 94 Legend Sedan LS 2 Piston calipers
thats it. its a good idea when you take apart the calipers to get a new rubber boot kit, redo the grease and hone the inside.. clean out the crap in the middle of the caliper and so on, that way you can paint them bishes.
now to answer all the other questions and fix some other ones.
TypeSH: legend, typeR and 5th gen V6, NSX are all 11.2" that means they can
still fit under 15" rims thats the best part you dont have to upgrade rims.
Also Legend calipers are better than NSX because NSX= 40/36mm pistons
which the Legend = 42/38mm pistons.
of course no NSX logo.
4doorh22: these calipers are very good! spoon calipers are $$ ebcause of the name and they are nice but how much stopping power do you really need?
NSX calipers cost more because of their logo and just because their NSX.
Jason KiDD: for you to be able to use these calipers you would have to upgrade to ITR suspension since they use 11.2" rotors stock and can fit the Legend Calipers, but GSR and Civics would not be able to do this otherwise all their brake upgrades would bolt onto our 5th gen accords and i dont see that happening.

jweller: yeah the entire reason why i did it is because winter time or when i go to the track i wanna throw some 15" slicks on there using my EX rims, so i would not have bothered if i couldnt do that!! the calipers ran me $100 at a junkyard thats about average, mines were in great condition and were still attached to the entire suspension.
TypeSH: no i didnt bother with the shims, they are locking calipers so once they compress they lock in, so there really wasnt a need for shims. and im living proof they stop on a dime so no shim was needed. u can still make one doh.
Razor: thanks!!
Accordvtec: definitely do, its like $300 tops you spend on it and its sooo worth it.
After_burner: 11.2 man dont forget that little .1mm
also just to clear this up. the calipers brackets are 28T (you all know that) and my brembo rotors are 23mm so u think i need a 5mm shim well i didnt use one!
btw cant forget to show my brembo rear!!

I'm fairly sure the V6 rotors are the same as the wagon ones, which are listed as 25mm wide. The reason i'm thinking of the 3mm shim is, wouldn't my brake pad life be shortened by 3mm if i dont use the shims? (im not certain how having hte gap affects pad life).
one other question, which caliper did you mount on each side? did you mount the one marked "L" or something w/ an L on the right side of the car? or rather, does the brake hose connect to the caliper on the topside, or bottomside of caliper?

my rotors are 23mm, the wagon uses 25mm i believe and the legend uses 28mm not sure what the typeR uses.
regardless yes i did the swap, L on the right and the R on the left, so the nipples come out on top!

are your rotors 11.2" in diameter? where did you get the 11.2"/23mm rotors at? It'd be nice to find actual 11.2"/28mm rotors somewhere to keep everythign in OEM spec.
you can try emailing sales@irotors.com and ask him to custom make them i think he can do it, and when he says $140 shipped tell him to go lower seriously. I got mines for $140 shipped then there is a post him selling the same rotors for $110 shipped or so.
