how do i pull my d sereis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry if this is already posted i mite b to dumb to find it but i am putting a gsr in my coupe but this is my foirst swap does anyone know what i should do first when pulling my d15b out of my 98 ex. or maby step by step instructions on what to do or a website that can give me some good advice thanks
unbolt ur shift linkages, unplug your engine harness from the firewall harness and such, unbolt your fuel line from the fuel rail, get your throttle cable off the throttle body, pop out your axles, and unbolt the 3 mounts that have it in.. make sure you have the motor hooked up to a motor puller or cherry picker.. I believe that's all, i'm thinking right off the top of my head, so if i think of anything else i'll let you know...

If you go by the link above and have a general sense of what to do, you'll be fine. Back in the day when i first got my GSR, i changed the clutch and had no clue what i was getting into. I basically winged it
. I learned from it and now i can do it without much hassle. Good luck!

yeah im just getting into cars and i found a clean *** coupe for cheap with a d15b i put intake intake manafold header exhaust test piep and i wasnt happy with how slow it still was so i sprayed it and ran a 15 flat in the quarter mile and then i said *** it and bout another coupew with a gsr in it but the body is ugly and its a 94 body with a 97 motor so im swaping the motors between cars and selling the 94 with my d15b in it and keeping my 98 with the gsr. it should b a funn project i have all winter bc i dont drive those cars in the winter.
wow this swap is going easier than some people made it6 sound. the axels and ball joints were hard but after i got the ball joint splitter everything flopped rite out. i am pulling the d series today yesterday was the first day ever doing a swap and i got a quick question. I AM PUTTING THE D IN A 94 AND THE D IS AN OBD2 IF I JUST BUY THE OBD to OBD CONVERSION HARNESS WILL THAT WORK
I see a future post.... "Just swapped GSR and now it wont run, help!" Research, research, research. The "SEARCH" is your friend. I hope you dont have strick inspection/emissions testing in your state. Your OBDII link will no longer work running a conversion harness and this swap. You will need to search for the answers to that question.

Yeah, it isn't hard man.. I'm glad you're doing it though... You'll have to get a z6 distributor and put all of the z6 internals in an obd2 casing (plugs and all the wires too).. that will be the only thing you'll really have to change to put the newer motor in it.. oh yeah, use an alternator for a 92-95.. i dunno if they are the same on 96-ups.. I always thought they were but someone said they weren't.. anything else just ask me.. i'll help anyway i can for you man..

well im putting the 97 gsr into my 98 so they are both obd2 so i dont think that swap will b a problem . i bought the 94 bc it has an 97 gsr and im swaping that into my 98 and swapping my d into the 94 then selling it. all i want to do is make the d series run so i can sell it idc if it runs good just decent so it sells. the 94 has an obd2 gsr in it rite now with an obd1 harness so do u think when i drop the d series in it wont b to hard seeing as the car has a obd2 in it now. your guys help is amazing im pretty sure id still b pulling axels off if it wasnt for you guys thanks again
Just make sure that you swap all the internals from the distributors with each other.. (plugs and all).. because if not they will be different on the plugs.. other than that everything should be ok..
