NAme brands alarms come with warranties, reliablity, and remotes that can be purchased at most shops. you never know what you are going to get with a ebay special. You need to look into dei-viper,clifford,python and there many lines, compustar, audiovox and alpine. Those are the only lines that I will install really because they are not a headache.

Cheap alarms come with an instructions manual translated from Japanese to Englirsh. A verrrry hard to interpret form of english. Also they are very basic alarms, lock unlock that's it.

Do yourself a favor take you car to a MECP Certified installer. Buy a name brand alarm like DEI, Directed, Viper, Audiovox, Clifford. Also if you need a new remote, you can buy them online. At Bestbuy or circuit city the install is included in the price!

I am a 3year certified MECP installer. I have replaced a lot of junk alarms for my customers.

I had what I thought was a good one w/ 2 way remote and remote start until it stopped working day. I replaced it with the top of the line viper.

Ebay alarms will let you down and security is not the place to cheap out essentially the way hondas are getting stolen these days.
