CRX CF hood fitment
I installed a CF hood on my rex a while back, Oem style, and the the drivers side is "propped up" like a half inch more then the passenger side, i cant find what its hitting on, anyone have any ideas? ( 1990 si if it matters)
Basically all the panels that bolt on are also adjustable to a certain degree. Try loosening the hood hinge bolts, but leave them snug, then close the hood (with no striker installed!) until everything lines up properly. Now just tighten the bolts up and reinstall the striker (which may have changed position now).
Also, as mentioned up there ^^ check out the rubber bump stop. If nothing else you can make it look a lot better, you can adjust the fender upward some, and the opposite side of the hood and fender downwards to help balance them out.
If there is not enough adjustment, say for example in the hood hinge bolts, then you can enlarge the holes with a dremel or grinder or something, just slot them in the direction you need to go. Also you can sometimes bend some metal, say the arms of the hinges, smack it with a hammer and a block of wood or bend it in a vice or something.
