Default Re: 98 ACCORD TRANSMISSION (EG6_978)

I can safely say that all Auto Transmission applications would fit for all Accords for the model years
1998
1999
2000
2001
2002
If you want a more difinitive answer, a salvage yard has interchangability guides which may extend the years which would fit.

The problem arises from the engine series change with the 1998 model year change: 90 - 97 utilized a 2.2L engine, 98 went to a 2.3L Engine.

I've sinse noticed that there are several threads involving 90 - 97 trans installed on 98 and later chassis. I've never done one myself (thus I can't recommend it), and just by the existance of threads about this - I would conclude it could be problamatic (at best)
