when a common word is used obviously an abbreviation of sorts is came up with cai = cold air intake tb timing belt and or throttle body i guess, etc... its just one of those things lol

its usually just because calling it something else is easier/shorter.
why are ppl named Richard called "dick"?
why are motorcycles called "bikes"?
why is "Ethylene glycol" called coolant or anitfreeze?
why is it called a "blow job" when when she sucks?
Its just one of those things u go with.
and since u asked about the dizzy/distributor... JDM distributors have an internal ignition coil, and USDM prelude distributors utilize an external ignition coil
