about a month ago i installed a water temp gauge and i cut a piece of the upper coolant house so i can fit the temp adapter.
i THINK that an air pocket got inside since when i cut the piece of coolent fell out.
how can i bleed my coolant and put new one in so i wont have the air pocket(just incase i do have an air pocket). i know that on the bottom of the rediator is the coolant plug that drains the coolant.
but do i just put new coolant in while the engine is running?
or when the engine is off?

you have a bleeder valve on your upper radiator hose neck on your head. open the valve and let your car idle....once coolant starts coming out close it ;-)

I think the step most likely to trip a person up is where it says to wait for the radiator fan to come on twice. This typically takes 20-45 minutes, depending on ambient temperature.</TD></TR></TABLE>
is it the same for a 96 civic??
