Default 2002 Accord Defroster Trigger

Anyone have access to Directechs or know off hand which wire off the defroster switch to tap to trigger it during remote start?

I don't remember if my Viper has a defroster out, but I can hook it up to an aux channel if needed...

Got it...

Wire is tan/yellow off the back of the HVAC panel.

Neg trigger through a relay kicks the rear defroster relay on.

Trigger needs a latched ground to operate to replicate the timed output from the HVAC circuitry..

Now, I just need to figure out how to activate it with an aux channel off the remote, but have it shut off when I get in the car & turn the key to cancel remote start... I don't want it on every time I remote start because it's not always needed. But if I make the ground latched, and forget to turn it off, I'll kill the battery (and possibly burn out the defroster if it's on for more than the normal time)

Another quandary.

I got to thinking about the above, and it's not as hard as I thought...

I'll power a relay off the starter's IGN output or whatever, which will trigger another relay connected to the defroster wire...

Pain in the ***, but I think it'll work.
