long story short. i have a 93 del sol. and i tried to bypass my aux light to turn on anytime i want on. butt then i mess'd it up and now my whole dash doesnt light up. butt everything else works on the car. please need help. i dont wanna drive at night with no dash lights. thanks in advance.

tried the;

-fuses inside and engine bay
-cluster itself and lookd at all the bulbs *seem fine*
-thats bout all i can think of.

could it be shortage of wire? maybe ground? butt how could that be?

 

dimmer switch?

 

dimmer doesnt work no more. anyother advise?

 

replace the dimmer switch

 

i had the same problem with my whole dash not lighting up and it was the dimmer switch so its worth it to go to a junkyard and find one for $5.. and if thats not the problem then u only spent $5

 

my dimmer switch is on my cluster, do i need to replace my whole cluster? also, its not just my cluster that is not lighting up its also the center of my dash where the a/c is at.

help please.

 

The dimmer switch controls the light of the cluster and dash lights. If the dimmer is out, so will everything else.
