long story short. i have a 93 del sol. and i tried to bypass my aux light to turn on anytime i want on. butt then i mess'd it up and now my whole dash doesnt light up. butt everything else works on the car. please need help. i dont wanna drive at night with no dash lights. thanks in advance.

tried the;

-fuses inside and engine bay
-cluster itself and lookd at all the bulbs *seem fine*
-thats bout all i can think of.

could it be shortage of wire? maybe ground? butt how could that be?

 

Are you talking about all the dash lights or just the instrument cluster lights?

If it is all the dash lights check the "Dashlights Brightness Controller", [also wrongly called the dimmer switch]

If it is just the cluster lights you may have damaged a dimmer circuit in the cluster, [if a Del Sol has a dimmer circuit in the cluster].

You will need to test the illumination circuit, easily done at the "DBC", test for power on the red/black lead with the park/head lights on, test for ground, [at all times] on the black lead, test for veritable ground on red lead, [ground potential will change when turning ****].
You can also unplug the "DBC" and use a jumper wire between the black lead and the red lead to see if the lights work. 94
