Default Sad, Depressed You Name It?

Well some that you know I sold my car to Mugen Mike last year. I switch back to farmboy diesel trucks. Well after a year without it and having a bike fore transportation. I come to the fact that I truely do miss the type-r more then I though. I have read these before but, know I really know what the void is like. I sold my truck and selling my bike as soon as my friend comes back from deployment. As that is said I'm slowly coming back to the world of the type-r. I miss it to much to forget about it and have all the worries of thefts. i rather worry and be happy that i own a piece of history in the Honda/Acura of the world scene.

As that is said I am planning on building a new motor to drop into whatever R I plan on buying towards the end of next year. So ill have roughly 9 months to build the motor. My question is should I by a complete motor swap and rebuild of some miles to save dough or should i just order a complete new parts have it worked on. I know i could save alot of money but I have already have have my mind set to that I wan to build the motor myself this time.

Current Plans I'm thinking of is

1. buy a head without a valve cover. completely dis. port n polish. port match with intake and exhaust(which ever i go with) new valvetrain, valve cover and have the head hot tanked slow cooled and hi temp painted.

2. block - undecided

3. tranny -undediced

4. everything else - s300, stage2 driveshafts

I think you may be doing it backwards... Just my .02.

I would buy the car first before buying anything. If the motor needs work, you can complete the overhaul of that motor at that time. You had plans of tracking the car, so I would recommend spending as little as possible at first beyond maintenance. That way you can get on track and get seat time. Adding mods increases the learning curve on your car, so at this point the more stock the better.

I'm personally not upgrading the suspension on my car until after I get some seat time in. I'm hoping to have the car running before April. If that's the case, I can try and do a We-Todd type event in April and then make adjustments before Expo in June.

These are my thoughts. In the end do what you want, and what you feel is best. Goodluck.

Btw I know the depressed feeling. Due to financial constraints I sold my Rebuild last November. I regretted it for nine months, so I parted out my GS-R and and sold it. I bought the car back and it sits while I slowly bring it back.

i wont be doing any track time at all because of some mental/legal issue i have with addication of speed(thanks to my bike reason im selling it)i have had track time with my bike totalled one out and i would only do the slow ITR Meet round the track thing. After my crash with my bike im done witht he track and with speed. reason im building instead of getting the car is because of i still have a auto loan out so i cant get one cause of divorce and credit score and 2 license is suspended tell sep 09 so i wont be doing any driving.

I would want to just save the money and not touch it but then you know you see all the money in the savings and something cought your eye and you buy it then you regret it later you know. Im thinking about just allotting all my money to my other account and then just giving it to my mother.

I WILL BE A CO PILOT IF ANYONE NEEDS IT but will not be in control on a track again.

You sold your car to Mikehonda not Mugen Mike

You need to get off speed

Take it slow man, there are other important things in life than a car. I know you went through alot in the Middle east with the stories you told me and your wife. I just want you to just chillax man, your so hyper and make quick decisions that stunn me sometimes.

No worries man handle your buisness and take care of yourself, their is always a Type R for sale that you can buy later on. Take it slow and quit making quick decisions all the time

I beleive that seeing the shell sitting in your garage will be more of an inspiration to get heR completed. You can also decide what mods are more cost effective and whats more fictional.

In the end its your decision... Good luck dude.

I'm no financial advisor, but it sounds like you cant afford this project. I would be patient, buy a 1k doll hair piece of junk and save your money for now like you said.

If you have a problem with speed, the last thing you should do is build an engine to go in a well handling car. That is just my opinion though.
