If you know the company name, you should be able to google it (or use whatever your favorite search engine is).

out of four people only one im'd me the website and didnt give me a bullshit answer. i dont want the look of a gutted hatch anymore. thanks to the one guy who gave me the site and boo to the rest.
I think it was the rear "interior" delete that threw them off, just a simple typo........I didnt understand either until I saw the "rear seat delete"

Pretty interesting... </TD></TR></TABLE>
Whats interesting to me is that the "Race Version" weighs 20lbs. Doesn't sound like your losing much weight by doing this. How much does the rear seat weigh?

This is a cool idea, but 20 lbs? I hated my CRX after I ripped out the rear. Either its too noisy or I'm too old. I do like the look of a gutted hatch though. Sexy. Sounds like sheet tho.
The most logical thing I can come up with being a rocket scientist. =P You’ll need a few tools to do this -- Cardboard, tape, razor / scissors, to make your template of all the contours in the rear section of the car. Then once you make your cardboard template, you’ll want to transfer it over to some kind of ¼ inch or 3/8 thick plywood and carpet the top of it. Of course you’ll need a jig saw to cut out the plywood to shape. All this could be done under 50 bucks.
I've seen it in project car magazine or honda tuning. They are the sister company for sport compact car.
It was like $300, you take the seat and carpet out and put this kit in. Looks really good and it was easy to install.

Why use plywood? Thats why there kit is heavy. I would just lay a sheet (maybe 2) of fiberglass over the template and make it out of that. Cover it in carpet and velcro it down. Sure it will not be as strong as the plywood, but isn't the hole purpose of this to save weight?

Me and a friend "deleted" his interior just ripped everything out and then just layed the stock carpet that matched the color down and it looks really clean and you lose so much weight then again his daily driver runs 11's so he has a reason to reduce weight and it sounds good if you got good exhaust and not no ricey crap

This has been discussed over and over since some magazine featured the DC rear seat delete which apparently adds like 15 pounds.
The point of this is NOT weight saving while the piece is in the car--obviously it's heavier than a seat. Some main points about this:
-cleans up the back so you don't just have empty metal
-provides flat storage area for hauling stuff, sleeping in the car, or whatever
-it's one easy to remove piece so when you get to the track, you simply take it out. It's not supposed to be used on the track...actually, probably everywhere besides the track.
