Serious stuff here...

There's another dude who is seriously, IRL pissed off because a few of us has informed him that his 1993 Imprezza is NOT old school. He is swearing up and down to everyone that we have no idea what old school is and that we look like idiots in the eyes of real old school people. He had an argument with the owner of a shop (friend of mine) for two hours trying to insist that his car is old school. He said because it is the first model of Imprezza and that it helped Subaru get into rallying is the reason that real old school folks consider it old school.

What do you think?

Lolol.

uh, it didn't help subaru get into rally. mid 80's subaru was already whooping up with a turbo legacy.

old school subaru? if he owns a BRAT, then he could talk trash. otherwise... keep walkin....

Lolol. I agree. This dude is hell-bent on his car being it. It all started when he told one of us that he was going to be attending our Old School Japanese Meet with his Imprezza. We told him it was for old school cars only, but he could come and park where the other newer cars were parking. He asked why and it snowballed from there, lolol.

have him pick up a copy of the current issue of Japanese Nostalgic Car Magazine Volume 1 Issue 2.

they have an article of couple pages of Subaru History. that'll definetly open his eyes.

Subaru does indeed have many neat cars that would be considered "old school".

The 360, Brat, Turbo XT, and very very rare and cool "RX" all come to mind.

That said, a '93 GC Impreza doesn't qualify, fun car though it may be.

I think of "old school" as anything that wasn't sold past 1989.

S13's and FC's were sold in the 80's but also in the 90's, and thus I feel they don't qualify.

An FB/SA22C RX7 however, sold from 79-85, does qualify, IMO. As would a Starion or an AE86.
