so i cant pass emisions with a jdm motor so im going to change my address to a buddys house that is in a county where there in no emisions. what i need to know is what to say and what to bring with me to the clerks office for every thing looks legit. i already have mail sent to that address. also i just moved to this state TN and still have an out of state drivers liciens just to let you know... some one please help im going to attempt it later this week!

 

In az if you fail emissions then try to register it somewhere that doesnt do emissions they wont let you until it passes. Dont know if its like that everywhere just thought you should know that

in ohio, its got to be real mail, like a utility bill or something similar...why dont you have your new license registered at his house also, then there wont be any questions until you get pulled over by the cops,lol

what will they say when i get puled over? im going to get an id with that adress on it and the place im actually living at i pay under the table so i have no bills sent to that adress. if they ask couldent i just say thats where i stayed when i first moved down to get on my feet then moved?? or what should do? i dont understand why the cops would question any thing its just emmisios its not like im driving with out a liciens or with a fake plate?

 

I was referring to your ID with a different address on it, in ohio you only have 30 days to switch or they can write you a ticket....it just gives them something to hassle you about...no biggie

I know, all I read on this site is people having trouble with vins coming back stolen and emmisions tests....we dont have any of that crap....you couldnt pay me to move to a large metro area, in between the car thiefs and the law, I'd end up shooting someone

 

i would just say i lived there untill i got on my feet and now im living with another buddy in this county which i am....dont see the harm in that? right? i very well could be a true story.....but its i think ill be fine i dono....

 

Why cant you pass emissions?

 

y dont you just tell the same story that your liscense tell. when he pulls you over they rarely ask where you live. typical scenario. liscense registration, do you know why i pulled you over, where you comin from and where you goin, is the info on your id correct.

 

yea it will be its just i wont be living at the address on the id any more. and i cant pass because of my jdm ecu. it wont communicate with there machine.
