How do I change 98' thermostate and temp sensor?
This summer the cabin indicater for engine temp went quite high and than would drop back. This happened on a number of occasions.
just change the thermostat first.
Look at the intake manifold on the passenger side. See the lower radiator hose going to it? That's the Thermostat housing. There should be two bolts holding half the cover to the manifold (10 or 12mm). Take them out and move the hose/housing out of the way and remove and replace the thermostat.
Get a cheap Haynes manual from autozone for your repair questions. Most aren't as nice as I and will bash you to hell for asking stuff like this.
Good luck!
