Clutch Problems!!
Hi all,
I have a 1994 honda del sol VTEC, and the clutch started giving me problems. It makes a winding sould when I press it, and a "dragging chains" type sound when the car first starts in motion. Also in pressing it it seems very spongy and loose. When in motion theres a great deal of difficulty to change gears, sometime completely impossible without putting a great deal of force on the shifter ( of course i wouldnt do that)
I took it to the mechanic, and he told me that the clutch needs to be replaced. So I was wondering what parts you guys recommend that I should change? ie. pressure plate, friction plate, flywheel ... etc. I am not sure about the terminology or what parts are recommended to be changed for a clutch replacement in my situation.
If I want to get the OEM parts, what is a good place for me to get them, and for Non-OEM parts what are good brands and where to get them? I dont really race my car so Im not really looking for high performance parts, more something that will last without any issues.
Thanks in Advance

You can buy an Exedy complete clutch kit that includes:
Clutch disc
Pressure Plate (some call it clutch cover)
Throwout bearing
Pilot bearing
Also request that the flywheel be resurfaced/turned at a machine shop too as a non-turned flywheel can cause even a new clutch to chatter and not engage smoothly.
Oh and here you go:

Replace everything but the flywheel, and if that is deeply scored replace it as well, if its not bad just get it resurfaced. I would suggest an OEM replacement clutch from exedy, they make clutches for honda under the daikin name.
Edit, B18C-EH2 got in ahead of me.
