Default Im wondering about my exhaust what i should do?

Okay right now i have a cheap exhuast system and i want to upgrade with something better. Ive used the search and i just want to get a good opion if this is a good idea i should go with. I want to upgrade the piping to 2.5' and ethier put on a apexi n1 tip or a hks tip. I want it to sound deep and ive heard magnaflows are really deep. I want to also remove the cat and replace with glass pack or a straight pipe. Should i go with this idea of having a store replace my piping and put a tip with no cat on it?

Just to get an opion.

What kind of motor do you have in the car?

If its not semi built, then you dont even need a 2.5 inch exhaust...at most a 2.36 would be fine.

Replacing the piping, and having no cat will make your car extremely loud and annoying, especially with an apexi n1.

Youre better off just buying a high flow catalytic converter, and putting a 2.36 inch full exhaust, like the new Greddy Ti-C or something of that sort. I think you are better off if the motor is not modded.

i agree! the greddy ti-c is a great exhaust! had it on my civic and i loved it (til it got stolen )lightweight and sound good! i have a apexi n1 catback with a test pipe and i now im lookin for a RSX type S axle back just to quiet it down a little bit. its stupid loud and my b16 tranny just makes it all worse on the highway. unless your pushin big power, 2.36 piping should be plenty. i heard good things about the vibrant and the es tuning mufflers if youre thinkin about getting your piping made at a muffler shop.

Yes, i'm going to a shop to do this but i think ill just go with a straight pipe increase the size all the way back and leave out the cat and resantors and just go with a nice sounding tip. (I know that straight pipes are illegal but where i live they don't enforce the laws that seriously)

But thanks for reply's if anyone has any other imput it would be great.
