which way should i go?
should I, just get an SI, or keep my DX and drop a DC5 K20A, which was my plan....It works out to the same price as a Si, the reason i ask is cause i dont know if i need the bells and whistles that the SI comes with, since i like to add my own bells and whistles. the only thing that i would miss out on is the sunroof........This is a serious Question just looking for a straight answer with no hate.
The benefits of getting an Si would be a warranty like FijiBlueFG2 said, but because you're looking to add your own bells and whistles, you wouldn't need one. I say go for the k20 swap. Make sure you full understand your local laws on such engine swaps. In California, The motor going into a chassis needs to be newer/have lower miles than the shell. The K20A + Kpro will be a definite plus because you can dive right into tuning your car, while we wait for Hondata to release a system for the 6th gens. Good luck with your decision.
Unless you intend to pick up another daily driver I say leave the DX alone or trade for an Si. The only person that will want the swapped DX when you are ready to get rid of it will people like you. By doing what you are thinking you reduce the cars selling market, meaning Joe the plumber won't want to buy it.

Haha, Joe The Plumber cannot even afford an Si. Makes $40K/yr and wants the government to facilitate his take over of a $250K/yr business. Good luck.
But anyways...
