i was looking at some motors today and there was a nice civic looked newer 98+ and the engine code said HA.. what motor is this? it was a vtec and the valve cover looked fancier then normal ones..and it was the size of a d series..soch

im wondering if i can swap this motor into my 93 hatch and if it will bolt up to my d series trans.

 

okay after some googling pics i found a match its from a 2002 civic and its a 1.7 liter..

will this motor go into a 93 civic and bolt to a manual d series trans?

 

Anything can happen, but I hear it's as difficult and expensive to swap into a '92-'00 as it is to swap in a K-series. Only without any of the positive return.
