if ur car is a obd1 the b16 will bot up to the gsr trans and everything will be the same just with less power and not sure about if u have to change the ecu but i would if i was u..

but the motor will drop in and hook up the same u already ahve the axels and stuff so u are all set just pull it out and drop the b16 in

Just chip whatever OBD1 ECU you have, its like $16 for the chip kit and then a burner or buy a basemap chip already done. But afaik that setup looks good (but save the $200).

have you done a compression test and leakdown on your gsr?? maybe it just needs a re-tune.

before you waste your money on another motor do these things that wont cost you nething to see if your motor is "tired"

Ooh didn't see your ecu is already chipped w/ crome. Definitely just re-flash (save a backup) or get a second chip.

I'm sorry I didn't understand your last post, "its the motor" ? Not sure what you are referring to.

To reflash a chip: take it out of ecu, put it in a programmer which is connected to a computer via usb typically, on the computer in the software click READ and save it... That's your backup. Then load up the map for the engine you are putting in (you can download it online from places) and click WRITE, now that information is on the chip, reinstall in to ECU. Done.

+1 i would do that 1st. Is the GSR showing any signs of needing a rebuild?
