hey whats up people, I'm having an idle problem on my 99 si. It idles fine until i turn on my a/c, it starts idling really low and fluctuating. What could be could be causing this? And how can it be fixed? thanks in advance.

 

Its a normal problem really. The ac uses alot of juice from the motor. But anyway, changes you can make are try turning up the idle, and when you push in the clutch or stop cut the ac button off. That'll cut the fan off and ur car will run normal.

 

i had same problem and my a/c compressor was going out.. is ur a/c still cold?

 

it blows cool when its idling low. it starts blowing cold when i rev it to 1500 rpm.

 

mine did the same thing. Thats bc when you rev it up the fan blows harder, hence the loss in power. Try turning up the idle and see what that does

 

And try checkin the compressor. That could be too. Take the ac belt off and try to spin the pulley. If it spins its good, if not its goin bad
