Default Solid hub vs. sprung hub clutch disc?

Are there any differences between the two in terms of engagement, chatter, etc? I emailed ClutchNet about the differences, and the response I got back was, "Solid hub disc is ment for drag racing only." Ummm, yeah, this coming from a guy that can't even spell meant. So I was hoping for some more opinions from the very intelligent group of Type R owners. Could a solid hub clutch disc be used on a street driven car - semi daily driver?

p.s. Comfortably??

p.s.s. I guess by comfortable I mean a stiffer pedal is okay. I'm looking for more clamping force and good solid engagement. What I'm not looking to get into is a clutch more suited for racing. Maybe that will come someday...

I stayed away from it, but thats me and I only have stock power... You should only concider it if you have lots and lots of power... rather break a clutch then the tranny.

I have heard of peeps using solid hub clutches in there strong ITR/ Civics but never drove one to say.

i used to have a solid hub clutch, and it was a bitch for daily driving, it was a 3 puck and i eventually killed it due to the fact of feathering it so i wouldnt chirp or jump every time i left from a stop, not an easy clutch to use on the street, average rpm that i would launch at would be 3.5k, or my car would stall out
