Take the ignition barrel off the steering coloum. Then the pin from it wont be able to go in and lock it. Thats what I did on car when I worked at wreckers.

Just wondering how you drive it without a key?

No offense, but I don't want to give thieves any extra help.

Lojack doesn't keep your car from getting stolen. It locates it once it is gone.

Get an alarm and fuel cut off for starters

i have no faith in my lojack system, you're better off getting a gps tracking device, this way if the car is stolen you have the power to track it yourself opposed to relying on the police. lojack coverage isnt even available in most areas.

i have no faith in my fuel cut off either. an experienced thief/tech will know what is happening when they go to start the car and it bogs out. all they have to do is follow the wiring at the pump to the tap to the switch.

Time is all you can hope for. Just slow them down enough. It takes time to find the switch, or to bypass it.

If they really want your car, they will tow it away.

i have an alarm, alarms are not too hard to beat.. i was also thinking toggle switch kill, but with my disability it would have to be in plain sight 4me 2 use it which kinda defets the purpose..

i spoke with a rep from lojack sometime ago, he said u can get the early warning system 4 an extra 300.. as soon as its started and ur not starting it they get a single and call 2 verify its not u.. a friend of a friend had it on his bike, they were hanging out back, another friend gets to the house sees his buddys bike.... sits on it and stands it stright, never touches the kickstand.. the owner out back gets cll from lojack letting him know someones messing with his bike...

i know a determined thief is unstoppable, im just trying to figure out the best way to slow em down..

how would i go about a gps system? wht would it cost? how would it work?
