Default how to tell if tokicos are blown?

i was wondering how would you know if the shocks are blown. i took mine out of the rear and took off the spring and compressed the shock, i must say it is easier to push down than a stock shock, but it still comes back up slowly. could it be my shocks are on the verge of blowing?

how slow?

whether it comes up or not is a matter of gas pressure. it should be pressurized, so it should come back at a good rate. im not going to even guess at a rate of speed however.

but honestly, pushing down is not an accurate way of testing any shock.

it should however vary by the adjustment.

and if its uneven as it comes up, theres theres also another sign of a problem.

when it doesnt come up at all, you should be worried.

yea i was searching around on how to tell if they are blown, another test was to compress the shock of question on the car up and down and see if the car oscillates/keep bouncing but i find that test inaccurate because of my rear sway bar. but i guess a good sign is that when i try different shock settings i can tell its getting stiffer/softer. by the way when the shock does uncompress when i have it out it comes up at a consistent rate
