Default B16A2 swap into 95 coupe

Im going to swap a B16 into my coupe in a few months and Im just trying to figure a few things out before I start.

Do I need to buy different mounts than stock? I know the Del Sol came with the B16 and didnt know if the bay was similar to the coupe.

Do I need to do anything special (cut and weld or buy new linkage) with the linkage or will it bolt right up?

Do I need a jumper harness or anything? The swap will be complete from hmotorsonline.com and I figured if it came with the harness and ecu I just yank the old one out and swap in the new.

If you know of a build thread b16 to ej1 or ej2 I would appreciate a link. I couldnt find one.

youll need a del sol b series shift linkage, or cut and weld. should be the same mounts with d series and b series, if i remember correctly. nope, just run a chipped p28.

How difficult is it to chip an ecu or should I just send it off? How much is it?

Wrong again. The Del Sol Vtec came with the B16A3 and B16A2 depending on the year, the Si came with the D16Z6 or D16Y8 depending on the year.

Del Sol S -> D15B7 ('93 - '95)
Del Sol S -> D16Y7 ('96 - '97)
Del Sol Si -> D16Z6 ('93 - '95)
Del Sol Si -> D16Y8 ('96 - '97)
Del Sol Vtec -> B16A3 ('94 - '95)
Del Sol Vtec -> B16A2 ('96 - '97)

To the OP The Del Sol engine bay has idenical mounting points compared to the civic (Japanese civics actually came with the same B16 engine in some cases) Shift linkage can come from any '94 - '01 Integra or a '99 - '00 Civic Si, the del sol shift linkage will not work. You will need to reuse your existing harness. If you happened to have an EX coupe you will only need to lengthen wires going to certain sensors, if its a DX you will need to add in the vtec wiring as well, the harness you will get with the engine will almost cetainly be hacked up, and even if its not its for a right hand drive vehicle so you can't use it anyway. So long as you buy an OBD1 Swap you wont need any sort of jumper harness.

94-01 Integra/99-00 Civic Si linkage is too long. Linkage from the Del Sol VTEC. is what is needed.

If he were swapping into a del sol he'd need a del sol linkage, bur he's not, he's swapping into a '95 coupe.

hmmm. So I need the integra linkage? If it doesnt work what do I do about cutting and welding? just line it up and cut my half off and the shifter half off of the other linkage and slap it together with a bead?

Integra or '99 - '00 Civic Si.

It does work, i've used both before doing B-series swaps in 5th gen civics.

I slowly accelerate and shift around 3300-3700 rpm. 2500 is way too low of a shift point. Also the car is a light CX hatch (EH2).
