I need a replacement socket for the 7443 bulb that serves as the tail light/brakelight on the 96 Accord. It's the one that goes on the outside not the one that goes to the light on the trunk lid. The tabs broke off mine so it wont stay in. I ordered one off eBay which was the only thing I found that said it was a 7443 socket but it doesn't fit as it's too small of a base so is too small to clip into the tail light so basically does the same as what I have now. Anyone know where I can order one that will work? I'm hoping to get one I can just solder on and not replace the whole harness.

 

Stop by a pick-and-pull junkyard and cut it off yourself. Or if you don't have any of those around your area, go to any junkyard and see if they'll give it to you.

 

As mentioned elsewhere, unless you find a specialty vendor that sells harness repair kits for Japanese cars; you're only reasonable option is a salvage yard.

Honda doesn't even list anything less involved that the complete rear harness assembly. Note

they do sell the rear trunk harness i just did a 02 accord.

But why spend 200+ for a $3.00 lamp socket?

i dont think the harness was that much if im not mistaking it was around 75 bucks or so.
