Default 96-00 Trunk Board Dimensions

I recently bought a EM1 but there was no trunk board at all. I was curious if there was a set of dimensions out there so I can make one? I did a search and nothing came up. Any and all help is greatly appreciated thanks!

find another guy who has same car, draw round it onto a sheet of cardboard then you have a template to cut yours to.

Default FV-QR

It's kind of a weird shape. Not really square.

Okay, I finally got everything together.

This is a photo of the trunk board out of my '98 Civic coupe. They should all be the same. I imagine this would fit sedans too, and the rear half can be trimmed to fit a hatch. Just don't forget the handle hole at the bottom.

Lol.

Anyway, I re-traced mine onto some 1/4 plywood once, good to have the dimensions finally available though.

Glad to help.

As far as FAQ threads, just mention it to Syndacate (OP of the FAQ) and see if he wants to add it or not.

Or, he could buy or obtain a piece of 1/4in plywood and make one for much less and use the rest to buy candy and porno.

Assuming he has, or can borrow a jig saw...then it would be much less, weigh more and look a little off.

Or, you could buy a template off of eBay and make the cover out of high density board.

Hey any chance you still have the photo/dimensions available?

The link is no longer working for me. Thanks!

I appreciate the help, but I am quite not following. I will see if I can recreate a picture with similar to the one above.

And what would be the name of the material that makes up the board to purchase?

I gave the approx dimensions for a floor panel. If you were to cover the floor, that's a ballpark set of measurements for what it would be, though not including a cut out for the spare tire. I'm using mdf, you would be good with 1/2' or 3/4'. I would advise spraying the bottom,as in the side that rests on the floor, with rubber undercoat. This is in case you develop a leak in the metal floor itself. It'll keep your floor board from rotting out faster.

When I replaced mine, I bought a special kind of board from Lowes. It's made to go behind the tiles in bathrooms, so it's mold and mildew proof. Very easy to cut and work with, but it also supported my old JL 10W7-HO just fine...and anyone who has carried one of those knows it's heavy as a ************. Definitely the material I recommend for replacing the trunk board.

Why pay for it when the information is free here?

The photo is in the post you quoted. It works for me. Maybe try clearing cookies? Not sure why imageshack won't work for you.

Hi,

From my end I can see the thumbnail of the photo that is in your post.

But when I click on this thumbnail, it sends me to the imageshack website and says the image is no longer available.

You do realize that by now you could have just taken a piece of paper and a tape measure and figured out the dimensions yourself?

It's definitely still there. Try clearing your cookies. I had never viewed that image on this device and it loaded fine for me.

Here it is rehosted. Not sure why you couldn't get it to load.
