also new here
Hi all, I found this great board when I was searching the net for info on Check Engine Light as it did light up a few days ago.
As I always repaired my cars when I was younger, not that I am that old but I mean like 20 years ago, when was fooling around with 1300 innocenti coopers and beetles.
Now though its all so much more difficult, then a hammer and a screwdriver could fix most problems now you need a pc to see the error from the onboard computer.
In a garage I asked what problem this light could be and he did not even know where the computer was in the car to connect it for a error read out. I did not knew it eather as I did not had any problem with the car before.
But here I found where it was located and how to test it to get the error code and what this error code means.
I got error code 41 (Primary oxygen sensor heater) . Now I know the problem and I am checking atm how to test this, to see if its a fuse, a cable or the sensor itself and then fix it
