The road noise isn't bad, but that is all personal preference. Theft is what is bad. If you have to daily drive this, you need to buy another car. Its the sad truth.

Its an R, you have to expect some road noise... I actually like how the R is "noisy".

If road noise is a big enough issue to effect your purchase of an ITR it may not be for you IMO.

^Very true.. you MUST keep this car safe, they def. require a level of security that is tough to acheive in most areas when they are daily driven and especially with out a garage.

When ppl ride in mine the they are stoked about how the car sounds. I would say its more engine noise then anything. Its like sweet tune.

I think you hit the nail right on the head. This car isn't a cushy car, its quick nimble and a bit raw in comparison to other Hondas. That rawness is really what makes the car. If this isn't going to be a daily driver, I would recommend to the OP to drive one and see how he/she feels.

If you are worried about noise, find another car.

Man that is way overrated. You can talk to the passenger just fine. Sounds like your not rugged enough for one.

lmao wayell i gess i aint ruhged nuff fur one. lol i just like to research stuff before i buy it, which is why im asking this question. as far as theft goes i live in hartselle alabama. 98 percent of people in this town would look at a type r with an "peece of sheeyit for-un car" lol anay import is worth about 11 dollars to them and their 70 foot lifted trucks.

It only takes one bad apple for the car to be gone. If you make the purchase, it is imperative that you invest in a quality DEI alarm($400), Install($300), and spend time reading through this thread here.

This should clarify the road noise issue.. it will also give you a good idea at how the car feels and looks like on your everyday road and the track.

It is of course of a 97 <3

put some solid motor mounts in it then you can complain of a little noise, with stock exhaust and stock motor mounts the car is plenty quiet.

This might be your best if your worried about road noise. A GSR is a lot more "cushy" than an R.

I drive mine to work maybe once a week and it is stiff, noisy and a bit raw like others have said but honestly that's why I love it.

top gear complained about the seat adjustment, too. for their biased review on the new R, i dont like the show anymore.

road noise comes with the territory, if you dont like it buy a luxury car.

In a stock R... it's not bad at all.

Windows up, and on cell phone, you probably wouldn't notice much difference in a GS-R at all.

exactly. who cares about road noise when your driving one of honda's greatest. i'd be too busy listenin to the sweet sound of the b18c5 to notice the road noise. and i dont see any girl who wouldent love to ride in a type r, sick straight out of factory.

**** you should see how my gsr is with hasport mounts, plenty of girls ride
