I have seen people dye their carpet with this product...it turned out good in the pictures, but you could see the texture of the carpet looked more coarse. For this reason, I would not recommend them on seats.

i'll have to disagree i used it and everything turned out looking pretty good! i dyed the seats from tan to black a set of floor matts and my dash which was brown now its gloss black and you couldnt scratch this stuff off vinyl if you tried! plastic its not so great but it litterily dyes vinyl.

i went ahead and did the entire dash with it including all the vents but i have no heat or a/c so they wont be touched more of decorative pieces. and duplicolor is what i used.

This guy used it on his carpet:

Unfortunately the pictures are dead, but the instruction and comments are still valid.

the guys in the paint and body forum were recommending SEM for interior dye. the pics that were in the thread looked freaking awesome... the pieces that were painted looked stock

I wonder if brushing it with a stiff brush after it dried might help to make it look more natural.

The Duplicolor leaves a rough texture on vinyl and plastics which isn't all that great looking and horrible to clean.I just purchased SEM and tested it out on my center console and its a stock finish and would def. vouch for SEM over Duplicolor!
