i have an 87 crx and i am having some major problems with the d15 engine, i would like to do an engine swap but i do not know what is the biggest motor i cn put in it. Any info would be of great help thank you

 

i was thinking about putting a JDM B16A Gen1 (SiR I) but i do not if it will fit in the engine compartment

I had an 87 Si and I swapped a straight OBD-0 91 LS in there that was stock and it ran 14.0 in the 1/4 mile with street tires and intake/exhaust. If I had it to do all over again I'd have LS/Vtec that thing and gotten real exhaust/headers, gone OBD1 and been running 12's with slicks. Those are the lightest EFI honda you can swap B-Series into. If it is not EFI, it's a lost cause unless you're interested in changing out the entire wiring harness from an EFI model (pain in the ***)
