Car wont start when its hot only start when its cold !!!!!!
lets take one step at a time,
what year, model of the car?
first step:
when it is hot, when trying to start up, check spark plug, yes or no.
then if theres sparks, spray some starter fluid into the intake to see if that starts up.
try that for now.

Go to a dealership and buy a "main relay" for about $90.
Look under the drivers side of the dashboard for a box that looks just like the one you bought and replace it.
Very easy fix and I'm 99.999% sure that's what it is.

Do NOt buy anything until U do some small trouble shooting. (I'm an electronic expert, I know it is time consuming but it's worth it)
let's not jump into the conclusion (assumption is not the correct way to go). I know what U mean , it's got a cold solder that during a cold day, the solder makes contact and when it is hot , the cold solder looses the contact.
U will notice the click relay when turn the ignition from accessory to on position, just before the start position but, it doesn't click during certain temp. this is a main relay.

And I'm a real Honda technician. What's your point?
I have never seen another issue that will occur in those circumstances on a stock vehicle.
You're wasting time trying to diagnose a known problem.
But hey I just do this for a living. What do I know?

i'm happy for U that you're a Honda dealer Mech, that's the point. People will try to avoid honda dealer as much as possible. This guy will save some money if he takes his time to trouble shoot the problem (honda-tech helps). The dealer is the last results. I hope U know that.

People avoid the dealer? No kidding that's why we've been so busy with customer complaints lately. I hear ya. They sure don't send me to Honda school to learn about their product, that's for sure! Don't even get me started on my own personal vehicles that I surely never fixed that had the same exact problem, much less the hundreds of customer vehicles. Don't even worry about me giving out free advice from my own experience. See those 4,000 posts? All nonsense. Even trying to save the guy some money from going to a parts store and buying an off brand part and going to buy a real one later. Nah it's all fake.
Yep you got me allright. I'll just log off now.

Let's start over, shall we?
1) What year and Model Accord?
2) Is it that it doesn't crank (No starter action)? or
3) Is it that it cranks but will not fire?
4) Does it attempt to fire?
5) Where there any hints of impending problems leading up to this, or did it come on quickly?
6) Do you smell gas after it fails to start?
7) Does this happen when wet, damp or during foggy conditions?
Answering these will get us started.

Ross and Mong. NO more arguing.
OP, Most likely it is the main relay, but go through the list that P_Adams posted and that will help a lot.

...well, yes.
I should have also asked if you were stating
"When it's Hot OUTSIDE" or
"When the ENGINE's hot"
Here in Rogue Island it seldom gets hot enough for Main Relays to melt down, But Stockton... that's a whole different thing
If it's hot outside, and it doesn't start (cranks but doesn't start) it is (most likely) the Main Relay. A funky little thing which powers not only the fuel pump, but the ECM as well.

My vote, Main fuel relay. Replace them all the time since I have bought about 1,000 accords over the years to sell at my car dealership. But what the hell do I know! Oh yeah, civic's too.
i fixed my main relay by simply de-soldering and re-soldering the pins on the relay after taking it out of the case. havent had a problem since.....well at least from the relay...

yes definantly main relay, my friend's car had the same exact problem.
if you want to test it, take it out, put it in the freezer for couple hours, put it back in when its hot outside and watch it start
if it still doesnt start, could be the connections on it, or something totally different
