Side view mirror question....
So I posted a few days ago that the mirror of my right side view was stolen. I purchased one and installed it.
Theres a main clip that attaches the mirror to the unit. Then there are two protruding plastic pieces that fit into a plastic hole behind the mirror. they fit into each other like a ball joint. It is these that allow the power mirrors to move and adjust.
I cant seem to get the mirror to clip with the plastic pieces. Sorry guys, I looked but couldn't find a diagram.

It takes a bit of patience when doing this, attach the 2 white "adjusting plastic rods" to the back of the mirror itself, then... you leave them as straight as possible.... and align the 2 little plastic rods into their holes on the mirror housing, i usually do the outer one first, push it in... you will hear it "click" and then you work the second in... now... you push the mirror plate against the housing until you hear a louder "click", and that's going to be the main/center "ball joint". Now, you press the mirror towards the opposite side of the plastic rods, push in and push down gently, that will set them with enought room to go in and out. Turn the key on, move the mirror all the way to left, all the way to right. If it seems to get stuck in between left and right, gently press the mirror in (opposite side of the plastic rod).
Then, press the button all the way up, all the way down... until it's free to go any direction again.

I appreaciate the diagram but I've completely disassebled the unit. I'm familiar with how it goes together I just can't get the rods attached to the mirror.

I thought about that and attempted it last night before this post. I can't get the two white rods out though. I can extend them all the way but I can't seem to get them out. I even disassembled the little white motor in the unit which allows the mirror to move and could not get the rods out.
How would I do this???
