Just scored this off ebay for cheap. I liked the oem look and have already been bothered by one cop for my sparco wheel so this is a nice change.

Just unsure where it came from. It looks like the GC8 97 Subaru Impreza WRX STI wheel but it's slightly different in stitching on the grip.

The wheel I bought - 330mm




The wheel it looks like - 350mm


Notice the stitching is not at the 6 o'clock on the handle but on the 8 and 4 o'clock of the wheel.

Anyone have an idea where it might have come from. I've looked at most subaru models from the wagon, wrx non sti, impreza, and legacy from 90-00 and the 97 wtx sti is the only one that comes close.

because if you take out your airbag wheel, you remove one of the primary safety equipment of the car

exactly, but my car didnt come with an airbag anyways but according to him it shows I'm suppose to have one. True it did come in my chassis but the later year.

i think only California police would bother writing a ticket for this violation.

 

where was that wheel shipped from, im pretty sure morasso had that wheel in his car that was stolen last week.

haha my friend just pointed this thread out to me, nah thats not my wheel. For finding some other OEM Nardi wheels. Wish I could get mine back

yeah i was talking to a few police officers a long while back at starbucks and i asked them about steering wheels and quick releases. And so thats what they told me.

I was just pulled over last year for a broken headlight and the cop asked if I bought my car with my sparco and I said "No, but my car never came with air bag." He let me off but his computer said I was suppose to have an airbag and I guess I convinced him. 92-93 accords came with an wheel air bag 90-91s did not.

You are also not allowed to have racing harnesses or buckets.

thats cause they know your car isnt fast enough to cause any harm
