Default 4th gen speed limiter

Is there a speed limiter or fuel cut off at cerain mph? if so what is it? and how can i get rid of the speed limiter, thanks.

i believe thier is i dont know what it is and its in the ecu so you would have to get it reprogrammed i assume...

if you haven't hit it yet then why bother with removing it? anyway yes some models do. I think its the f22a6 ecu that doesn't have it but not positive

My 90 lx hit the speed gov at a indicated 120 on both straights at VIR. I too want to get rid of the bastard

My friend has a 93 Accord DX, and he says that his max speed he can go is 110mph.

I think your right but I never understood this. Since its more powerful, shouldnt it be governed because it is capable of higher top speeds?

Also, I am under the impression that all car sold in California have a governor of 110mph.

my 93ex has a f22a6. I've hit 123mph going up a slight incline...i couldn't go any faster because of drag, I think...I didn't hit any speed limiter because my car didn't cut the fuel...it wanted to go faster, but too much drag plus the incline...

you can remove the limit by switching or reprogramming your ecu.

i think the less powerful engines are governed so they don't go beyond a max operating range? Maybe beyond 110 mph or something, the engines can't handle it?

i've gone beyond

210km/h next to my cousin in his ITR and his brother in his GRAND AM GT
it gets really scary going that fast
