Default Ebay control arms, ball joints, tie rod ends for a $100. Anyone have feedback?

So I am contemplating replacing all my ball joints on the front of the crx. I stumbled upon these ball joint, control arms, tie rod ends on ebay. Anyone used these or know of the quality? Also are the ball joints and control arms the same on the HF as the other models? Thanks for any feedback fellas.

I got this exact kit from another user on ebay (also from canada), and the quality is great. I'm not sure about the HF control arms but I say go for the kit .

Hey, I went with this company http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/bestsuspension/
Just replaced my upper arms with theirs. Seems good quality. No complaints at all just made sure I lubed everything before installing.
I was going to buy from that user you're looking at but sometimes stuff from Canada can take a while.

I used that same seller. Parts seemed to be of good quality and were shipped quickly (especially since they're from Canada). Do it.

I bought a kit just like this from ebay acouple month ago. Installed it on the car and have had no problems. Was pretty pleased with the kit actually...So I bought the same kit again from the same seller for my newest Si. I will let you know more about it when I get it in the mail. But for 100 bucks you cant complain! Everything looks pretty good...
And NO there is no difference between HF and SI or even DX on your upper controll arms and ball joints. They are all the same with all the years...trust me!

If you check the prices on autozone.com it'll make you even more pleased with your ebay purchase. I'll look there if I need some, I usually defaultly go to autozone or another local parts store because I know I have a lifetime warranty, at least on most of the parts. However it's not worth it in this case, one upper control arm from autozone is $182! I wonder what kinda quality they'd deliver in the long run, say a few years. These are bad parts to have fail on you, it would suck to loose steering control and have an accident because of inferior quality parts. but it's been working for you all this long.

Pretty much all auto parts stores source their items from cheap chinese manufactures these days. If you look at a most of the chain auto parts stores, they even use the exact same part numbers for their items. The margins on these chinese suspension pieces is insane. I'm talking 100-200% margin. I work in auto parts, so I'm not just making these numbers up. The entry level suspension items you buy at any chain store more than likely all come from the same manufacturer (at very cheap cost for the chain store). Of course there will be some exceptions.

So for the guy on ebay to be selling these items so inexpensively tells us nothing more than he is not making insane profits from it like the auto parts stores are. Certainly, he is making profit - but not the kind the stores are.

I bought the same kit a while back. The ball joints lasted a little less than a year with light mileage on the car and no abuse. One of the tie rod ends completely stripped while I was replacing the ball joint complicating the process of putting OEM ball joints back on.
I say go for it if you need a quick fix or are tight on funds, but expect to replace them again in a year or two.

A year is not very long. Ive used Autozone ball joints and they were binding within six months. I think Ill try them out. Thnx for all the input...

I got the kit a while back but haven't had time to install them. I would let my friend know to chime in here since he has installed and to be honest, it made a huge difference on his wagon

Ive had my eBay kit on my car for about 4 months now and im pretty pleased with it. The only think i didnt like about the kit was that the outer tie rods used self locking nuts instead of cotter pins on the threads (lots of aftermarket do nowadays ) and the lower ball joints didnt have the little groove where the snap ring sits like the stock ones do. But for $150 theyll do for now, ill just replace those pieces with OEM later down the road.

I got my kit from Hyper4Hondas on eBay, but unfortunately that seller is no longer around i think.

I have tried the Ebay kit and they are pretty good. The only issue I have on the kit is the outer tie rods. Both of my outer tie rod boots are cracking and ripped already. And only within about 3 months. All the other components have held up so far. I would go with moog products for the outer tie rod ends.
