Anyone used the " RISLONE ENGINE TREATMENT"?
I've used it on domestic application for years without incident, and it does work. I'd adjust how much you put in (The original portions were 1 qt Rislone for every 4 quarts of oil) based on oil pan capacity.
If you suspect heavy sludge build up, you might consider mechanical removal. Although I've never experienced it (nor have I ever heard of it), if a large piece of sludge were to break loose, it could end up in an inapproprate place.
If you just let it idle hot (don't rev it) and install a fresh filter afterwards, you should be fine.
