Default Honda Trouble

Hi everyone.

I have a civic type R (2nd Generation) and im looking for some advice.

I've had this car about a year now, its only done 10k miles but its a catagory D ('proffesionaly' repeard) wich i'm putting these problems down too...

I've found that when driving in heavy rain i can hear a horrible rumbling sound from under the car and i can feel the vibrations in the seat, it's exacly like i'm driving over rumble strips, it comes and goes within my journy but sometimes it still does it when im stationery, it gets louder and quieter even if im not moving.

Also there is an really annoying sqeeking sound coming from outside the car when driving, this happens only when the car has warmed up, it never does it when i just set off, i really hate sqeeking sounds.

I dont know what this is, i've tried doing a search but i cant find many results. Anybody have any advice?

Thanks.

Mike.

the rumbleing sound could be a loose heat shield on the exhaust.

the problem in the rain is probably your exhaust traveling through water my old eg sedan used to do the same thing it was dumped on the ground and i had a 2.5 inch hks exhaust that would part water. your squek is probably a moving heat shield or exhaust hanger

Hi, Thanks for your reply's.

I think im gonna book it into a garage an have it checked out.

When you've been driving with moderite breaking on the way then you pull over, should your back break discs be hot? because i thought you done all your breaking on the front an the back are only used for your hand brake.

The front's receive about 70-80% of the braking, but the rears, since they are still inducing friction, will be hot.
