Need help indentifying these Civic parts....
I was told this distributor is from a 97 Civic but since its obd1 thats not true right?

I was told this alternator is for a 94 Civic but it doesn't look like one to me.

I can't tell you what either are of off, but both are OBD1. The distributor appears to be a D-series, i really can't tell if if its for a vtec head or not, the only difference between the vtec and non vtec is the mounting flange is slightly different where it bolts to the head.

Yea I noticed that
.It must be from a Honda since its obd1 though right?Any idea which one uses the wider belts?

as long as the plug is the same the wider pulley shouldnt be a problem...
i got a high power alternator for my civic suposedly a iraqii alternator but i have no idea if its true but it definatly puts out more power than my stock alt.
and it has a much widder pulley on it and its also a overdrive pulley so instead of swapping out the pulley for a stock pulley i just made my own upper alternator bracket to move the alternator further to tighten up the stock belt....
works great....
THIS IS FROM MY 99 ex civic.

worked out nicely with just modifying the top adjustable bracket with a aftermarket chrome alt bracket
i could have switched the pulley on the alternator for the stock pulley no problem BUT with a highpower or any alternator.... for a nice stereo it helps to spin the alternator faster for idle output.

Thats tight I like how you did that. But couldn't a smaller wheel be added to the stock alternator to produce more power?
yes a overdrive pulley could be added to a stock alternator BUT a stock alt only puts out like what 70-80amps max....
it would help some at idle but the stock alternator still isnt powerfull enough for a nice stereo system demands.....

Oh I see.Well I guess what I'll do is take it to autozone so they can test it and maybe tell me how many amps it produces then maybe put it on my car. Thanks everyone
well unfotunatly theycannt really tell you ho wmuch power its puting out... they can only tell you if it passes or not compared to a stock alternator foryour car.
only way to relly have t tested would be to take it to a alternator shop and ask them to bench test it... they usualy have a proper machine that actualy tests voltage and amperage output.
