Hey guys, I just saw a PY Integra (had gsr rims) in my area. It was actually pretty clean, OEM Type R kit with spoiler but other then that it looked like a stock ITR (from far). Upon closer inspection I saw the side molding and 4 lug, etc.

But my question is,
How do you guys feel about poseurs? Do most of you Type R guys take it as a compliment or do you consider them biters? Personally, if I had a nice car like an ITR, it would make me happy to know people envied my car.

Just wanted to stop in and actually post here for once, instead of just reading. Good Day!

I personally own an LS...but I love how the type R looks; nothing needs to be done to a teggyR because it's perfect the way it is...though it's not too different from any other teg. I have always wanted to add the type R lip and wing to my car but I know people see it as "posing as a type R." I wouldn't do it unless you were pulling type R times or better.

 

Without the b18c5 it isn't a 'R

its not an R unless its an R..plain and simple. Thats just my opinion

 

If it's an Integra that looks like a "R" without the obligatory stickers, I don't care.

If it's an Integra that looks like a "R" with the obligatory stickers ... eh, I still don't care.

If it floats their boats, who am I to complain. I really don't see the point in it, especially if they are painting their cars to match ITRs. All that money could've gone to better uses, IMHO.

The only thing that bothers me is Type-R decals, especially OEM, on a car thats not a real Type-R. They do it purely to try and impress people by acting like they have something they don't... rather than trying to better the car by putting their efforts into "real" appearence and modifications.

Just the other day at my local auto parts store, I pulled in to see a 2000 silver GS-R, bone stock, with OEM Type-R decals on it. And of course, I walked up to it and it's owner I told him that he's sooooo lucky to get a sunroof and "shiny" wheels on his Type-R... and that mine came with no sunroof and boring white wheels. He knew I was being sarcastic, but couldnt say **** about it Great stuff...

 

in my opinion.. who cares. Let someone paint their car purple and write "baRney poweR" on it for all I fuggen care. It's their car, not yours.

I've seen gs-rs that are passable, till u open then hood...

Not giving a theif credit? or the Fake R owner? A bet most thieves who target ITRs know far more about the car then 90% of the owners of ITRs.

If it has 5lug, interior, etc a thief will take it anyways, regardless of ITR stickers. A B18C1 is less valuable than a B18C5 but not that much. The rest of the parts are still worth good money. Alot of teg parts are, just not the R ones.

It's not like the GS-R (Even stock) doesn't get a thieves attention. They'll just steal both cars anyways.

Actually I'm blind so my computer reads the text out to me. Therefore, it's the dumbest thing I've heard.

Okay Im gonna be buying a 94 ls soon, and Im buying it because I want to convert every last spec of it to and ITR. when all the drivetrian, suspension and the interior is to spec, Im also gonna paint it PY, and put on the OEM ITR kit. Im also gonna put the stickers in the exact locations they should be. Will you call my car rice when Im done? Just wondering.

Because if you're going to convert it to "every last spec of it to and ITR", I'd like to see an LS chassis become and ITR chassis.
