Default failed car-jack attempt

i was at menlo mall in edison new jersey and when i got back out to my car, i noticed my window tract was popped out. i have a ravelco security system because i don't have time to build my own stealth one, but this stuff did its job. i'm pretty thankful there were minor damages and i got to actually drive my car back home after i fixed the wiring. funny thing is, before i got my police report, the cop told me this other girl got her civic stolen. i bet the thief was pissed he couldn't take my car, so he stole someone else's car..

Sounds like you got lucky. From all of the STOLEN threads I've seen, it seems like half are from New Jersey and the other half are usually from Chicago. But then again this is the first one I've seen in a while. Hope it never happens to you.

That's pretty cool. Ravelco -does- have its merits every now and then, but I won't get into that.

Every time I read one of these threads, I'm tempted to grab my soldering gun and re-do some security-wiring.

it was an attempted car theft, not a car jacking.

around this places are not jokes man, woodbridge and perth amboy is a house of thieves.. im around some blocks away from there and they broke into my car 2 years ago man.. and everything ended up being sold on the internet from woodbridge, but the cops didnt do ****.. i left it like that bc i did not want my family to get hurt if i retaliated because they came to my place so eventually they knew where i lived.. if something happens again look around amboy and woodbridge, i heard of a few dirty people that i seen at my job from around this places, so lock it up and be carefull where u park..

"car jack" is when they hijack the car while you're driving it.

Someone here posted their story about how he caught them breaking in! It was awesome, he ran outside with a samurai sword and ****. If it wasn't 2 in the morning I would look the thread up for you. I caught the people breaking into my civic, I called the cops and they were arrested 15 mins after they left my place. Got 90% of my stuff back. Bastards pitched my bag of clothes with me Honda belt T.T RIP honda belt.
