I think its a code 20 because your 90 probaly doesn't have an electric load detector in your fuse box under the hood and the 89 computer is looking for that.

You must have an auto ECU, the 5spd ones are rare and I've had at least 5 different CRX/engine/PG7 combinations and the only time I got CEL's was when it was an auto ECU (or O2 sensor but you'd already have known about that one) when I rocked the DOHC ZC I did use the stock ZC cam sensor with a 6-pin DX Dizzy, if you're using an Si dizzy it might be slightly different, but adjusting the dizzy one way or the other would make the code go away probably.

i was running my dohc zc on a ps9 ecu, 90-91 4dr civic ex auto ecu, for a couple of days.
it was running fine, but had a code 19.

code 19 = Lock up control solenoid (auto trans only).

i got a pg7 ecu off my friend that came off his car, but had that code, so i opened up the ecu casing, and it was a ps9. open yours if its a pg7, then you have an automatic one if your throwing a code 19.
