I have a 1991 integra turbo. I am having issues with it. If I get on the throttle hard then I cant get my car to get passed 4500 rpm. It acts as if it has a rev limiter on it. Now if I take it slow then I can get it up to 6500 rpm. Basically I cant hit boost right now because it bogs out at 4500 . Any help would be appreciated, or any ideas??? Thanks

 

Do you have a check engine light on?

If so.. check it.. you need to pull the code

 

Yea I had a check engine light on but I fixed that. I had a bad fuel injector. So no now theres no check engine light. Im really confused about it . Let me give everyone a background about this car real quick. I bought it from a guy that did a complete hack job on everything. The harness was hacked into in about 100 places!!! Well I yanked everything out and replaced stock harness and then replaced the valve cover and gasket, new turbo, new wastegate, etc etc... Before I had done everything to the car the check engine light was on but the car would do the full 6500-7000 rpm. The turbo pulled hard and full at 15-30 psi..?? I wonder if I hooked something up wrong.. Is there a sensor that could make this happen??
