for those that have a sidemount in their civic or sol, how did u mount it and did u cut the piping that came with ur kit or used new piping from elsewhere? pics would be great if anyone has them. i just planned to run a sleeper setup and my friend has a spare sidemount he can give me. thanks alot

 

I hear it fits pretty well where the intake resonator would sit. From what I read one of the mounting brackets have to be shaved down a lil but thats it. I have one sitting in my basement, never test fitted it yet since my kit isnt done yet. I know a guy on this board (14eight???) has a dsm sidemount and he had pics of the install, I did a search for them and looks like the website they were hosted on no longer exists.

sounds good. any preference or reasons as to choosing between a 1G or 2G?

 

I have a DSM SMIC in the fenderwell of my 93 Coupe. It fit perfectly, after I cut off one bracket that stuck out of the top, towards the front. I'm not sure if mine's a 1g or 2g, though...sorry. I also shortened one of the pipes on the compressor side so that it would be less of a bend. I'll have to see how well it really works when I boost in a couple days, but I may end up going to a FMIC, since I think I can get one for dirt-cheap out of a busted-*** Conquest
