F22B Head gasket
I'm running a boosted JDM F22B DOHC non vtec. I'm having a problem with overheating. my top rad hose expands two fold and is really hot. my rad is cool, and my bottom rad hose is much cooler than the top. i have put a new rad, thermostat, and water pump when i built the motor. the rad is an aftermarket aluminum rad which is definitely large enough. I'm starting to think it is my head gasket. I checked the spark plugs and they are clean. my coolant is not milky, but it was foaming in the over flow tank when it over heated, which turned back to normal coolant when it cooled down. There didn't seem to be any oil mixing with the coolant.
i guess my first question is, because the F22B was never available in North America, how do I know which head gasket to buy. i had this problem when i bought my timing belt. I tried an H23A1 belt but it was a couple teeth too long. it ended up being an ITR timing belt that I needed to order from Acura.
When i built the motor i used an H23A1 head gasket. Does anyone know where I could get the head gasket for the F22B, or what kind of Honda/Acura shares the same head gasket?
here is a post the my friend jordan made about the same issue (he explains the problem much better than I do)

you're right. the accords did come with F22B's but they are all SOHC, just like the F22BA1 SOHC non vtec 92-96 prelude type S.
the motor i have is an F22B DOHC non vtec. its similar to the H23A1 except its iron sleaved from the factory. thats why its a 2.2 instead of the 2.3
does anyone have any building experience with this motor?
