Edit nevermind, the teeth part got stuck to the shaft blocking the hole.

 

Perhaps it's not an oem unit you have then? I've seen some remans that have the press on style rotor before. I don't think this is enough info to get all pissy about it and tell someone they are WRONG.

 

Did I stumble into the JDM ITR parts forum again? Must have mis-clicked.

 

The JDM/USDM Distributor is the same. I just replaced the cap and rotor in both my CTR B16b & JDM ITR B18c using USDM ITR cap and rotor.

 

This is correct, part of my rotor got stuck to the shaft and I thought it was different...woops.

 

The OP has a throw away unit that all the local parts stores are selling these days. They do not come with a replaceable rotor button and come with a no name cap pre-installed. OEM has the TD-86 stamped into the cam tower leg of the distributor. All of the aftermarket throw away units have a sticker TD-84u.
