timing help

Default timing help

what problems would cause me to have to advance the timing pretty much almost all the way for it to idle and run normal? d16z6

If you're having to advance it on the distributor for it to run correctly, then your timing might be retarded on the Cam.. check and see if your cam is timed correctly with the crank....

how would the ride feel? the issue im having is that it feels like the motor is trying to catch up to the rpms..

yeah, it would be like it is bogging down really bad when your taking off but once you get up into rpms it starts getting better... is that what ur having?

some what, yes.. but its not to bad, it feels like wants to go but it doesnt..but yea it high rpms it will pick up but not nowhere near where it should be picking up..if for some reason thats not the case what else can it be?
